Business: Roots & Routes Travel

1. What we do. Roots & Routes Travel provides custom travel planning and consulting services. We research and create personalized itineraries, recommendations, and trip plans. We are not a travel agency, tour operator, or booking service. We do not sell, book, reserve, or act as an agent for flights, lodging, activities, transportation, or any other travel product. You make and pay for all bookings yourself, directly with the third-party providers you choose.

2. Our service is advisory and provided "as is." All itineraries, recommendations, and materials we provide are for informational and planning purposes only and are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

3. No guarantees. We do not guarantee, and are not responsible for, the availability, pricing, quality, safety, performance, or conduct of any third-party provider, destination, accommodation, activity, or service we recommend. Prices, hours, availability, and conditions change and are outside our control. We do not guarantee any particular outcome, experience, savings, or level of satisfaction.

4. Your responsibilities. You are solely responsible for: reviewing and verifying all plan details before booking; making and paying for your own reservations; confirming current prices, hours, availability, and policies; obtaining appropriate travel insurance; securing required travel documents (passports, visas, IDs); assessing the suitability, difficulty, and safety of any recommended activity for every member of your party; and complying with all applicable laws and provider requirements. You execute the plan; the decisions and bookings are yours.

5. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, cancellation, disruption, expense, or dissatisfaction arising from or related to your trip, your use of our plans, or the acts, errors, or omissions of any third party. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount of the planning fee you actually paid us for the plan at issue.

6. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your trip, your bookings, or your use of our materials.

7. Payment & scope. Planning fees are quoted by package or quote and are due as stated at the time of engagement. Each package includes the number of revisions stated for that package; additional revisions or scope changes may incur additional fees. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. Intellectual property. The itineraries and materials we create are licensed to you for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not resell, republish, or redistribute them.

9. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [Optional: any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in San Diego County, California.

10. Changes. We may update these Terms; the version posted here governs. Continued use of our services means you accept the current Terms.
