An easy arrival day to take in the sheer scale of it — no museums, just wonder.

Evening

Walk the monuments as the sun sets and crowds thin — the most magical time to see them. Start at the Lincoln Memorial, then stroll the Reflecting Pool toward the lit Washington Monument.
